EC contributed to the Commonwealth Innovation Review by participating in the Commonwealth public consultation sessions; and sharing a number of suggestions with the Innovation Review Panel through the following submission. <<Submit Here>>

The Innovation Review Panel is tasked with submitting their report before the end of August to Parliament with recommendations on how the new government should encourage innovation and commercialisation. The panel received over 200 submissions during their consultation process which can be found here. The submissions are quite revealing as Australia is recognised as a global leader in the early stage of the innovation cycle (the invention stage) but lacks the resources and infrastructure to commercialise the Australian innovations, as fruitfully our global colleagues do.
