Across the Wine Dark Sea
UniSA Hypotheticals - Across the wine-dark sea
A testing tale of Asian export exploits.
A family wine business launches itself onto the global market. The glittering prize: an Asian export market of 1.3 billion people. But will it all be smooth sailing? How great is the cultural gulf? Is blood thicker than water? And will legal barriers become as impenetrable as the Great Wall?
Join us on our maiden voyage as UniSA launches its first in a series of Hypotheticals. Our moderator, Chris Rees from Austrade, will pose the problems to a panel of seven high-profile and distinguished guests for an absorbing, amusing and enlightening night that no-one in trade and export should miss.
On Monday 27 March 2006 more than 200 people attended the 'Across the wine-dark sea' hypothetical at the Adelaide Convention Centre, to listen and learn from industry experts who were presented with a series of hypothetical export scenarios and challenges. The panel of seven used practical insight and experience to demonstrate the 'do's and don'ts' when contemplating exporting opportunities throughout Asia.
