ExpatriateConnect's mission is to accelerate the growth of Australian exports, through the delivery of export resources (training, mentoring and relevant resources) that can be tapped into by Australian businesses along their export journey.

A key point of difference from traditional Australian assistance programs are the export mentors, individuals with first hand experience in overseas markets and the ability to share their insights with Australian businesses, looking to go global.

ExpatriateConnect (EC) identifies candidate export mentors and provides them with a community of interest (COIN) to share their global experience, through a 4 step process:

• Profiling:
• An on-line process to profile export mentors (typically takes less than 10 minutes)
• Matching:
• EC matches mentors with candidate companies
• Mentors see the company profile before communicating with company executives ('does it feel right?')
• Mentoring:
• Modular framework, supported by EC modules and resources
• Typically on-line sessions (email, web tools & phone)
• Support:
• EC provides modules for mentors to tap into before mentoring sessions
• EC encourages companies to prepare for mentoring sessions (homework as outlined in modules)
• EC provides resources, training and a global team to assist mentors and companies
